Gambling Disorder Endorsement - Preliminary vs. Renewable

Preliminary

Individuals who do not demonstrate completion of the 100 hours of required experience at the time of application will be issued a two year non-renewable endorsement which they can use while under supervision to earn the necessary hours of experience. At the end of the two year period, individuals will be required to demonstrate completion of the 100 hours of experience and move to the renewable endorsement. Individuals who fail to complete the 100 hours of experience will have their preliminary endorsement expire.

Renewable

Individuals who demonstrate completion of the 100 hours of required experience will be granted a renewable endorsement to expire on the same date as their license. Individuals can practice with the endorsement under the guidelines of the scope of practice of their license. When an individual's license expires, so too will their endorsement. Individuals with a renewable endorsement will be required to complete 6 hours of gambling education at each renewal.
