schedule for an exam, applicants must first submit a formal application for licensure/certification
and have this application approved. Formal applications are available on the "Forms
& Applications" page of this website. Once application approval is granted
applicants may submit an Examination
Order Form with the appropriate examination fee. The
OCDP Board offers two testing options: Paper/Pencil
Testing: Paper/pencil
exams are offered four times a year (March, June, September and December) in Columbus,
Ohio. Seating is limited for this exam option and is filled on a first come basis.
Applicants who take this version of the exam will be given 3 ½ hours to
complete the exam. Results of paper/pencil exams will be sent to applicants 6-8
weeks following the exam. Computer
Based Testing: Computer
based exams are open for a two week period in each of the following months: March,
June, September and December. Computer based exams are available at a number of
regional sites throughout Ohio and our border states. Most exam sites are open
Monday - Saturday. Applicants will have the opportunity to schedule their own
date, time and location within the two week period. Applicants who take this version
of the exam will be given 3 hours to complete the exam. Preliminary results of
the computer based exam are available to applicants upon completion of the exam
and official results are sent to applicants 6-8 weeks following the exam. Click

Fees: (MONEY ORDERS ONLY) Paper/Pencil
Exam Fee: $100 Computer Based Exam Fee: $150 Examination
Fees must be paid in the form of a money order made payable to IC&RC. Checks
and credit card payments will not be accepted as methods of payment for an exam
fee. Examination Fees should be mailed to the Board along with the Examination
Order Form. Cancellation/Rescheduling
Policy: Paper/Pencil
Exam - Applicants who cancel or reschedule an exam less than ten days prior to
a paper/pencil exam date will forfeit their examination fee. Computer
Based Exam - Applicants who cancel or reschedule an exam less than five days prior
to a computer based exam will forfeit their examination fee. Computer Based exam
applicants will have one opportunity to cancel or reschedule an exam at no additional
cost if they do so at least five days before the exam. If an applicant reschedules
or cancels more than once they will be assessed a $25 cancellation/rescheduling
fee for each additional occurrence. Exam
